Super 8 by Wyndham Bellingham Airport/Ferndale

Room was okay. Not clean but not disgusting. Had to give a $100 cleaning deposit before I could get a key to my room. Which I did not see anything on the booking that I had to pay a refundable deposit on arrival. The guy that checked me in wasnt super friendly. But the guy that checked me out was super nice.

Miserable experience with this hotel. An overhead light had a bulb out so it was very dark. There were holes in the sheets and the bedspread. There was a hole in the lamp shade. The hot and cold were reversed in the shower and the sink. We lost power in the middle of the night. The breakfast was minimal. They ran out of waffle batter. There were no knives to cut waffles or to spread butter on toast. No napkins. No tea. The coffee ran out. The milk pitcher was empty. The pool looks like it is permanently closed. I was told when I checked in that there would be $100 deposit held on my credit card. I looked at my credit card statement today and that $100 charge went through yet I got no explanation why my security deposit was not returned to me. When I called the hotel tonight they said that it would take 5 to 7 days for that charge to be reversed. It should never have been charged in the first place. They can hold your card information for security deposit but they should not let it go through. AVOID! This is by far the worst Super 8 that I have ever stayed at.

Do not stay here! Found a cockroach crawling on our bed! We captured it and gave it to the front desk. We asked for a partial refund and the clerk said the manager would be in on Tuesday. Well Tuesday came and went and no call from the manager!We stayed one night. 1st The toilet wouldn't flush! 2nd the shower would not work! 3rd the hotel was horribly dirty. As soon as we got off the elevator there was the stench of garbage.The garbage can was overflowing! The desk in the room had something all over the top of it! 4th The pool and hot tub closed! There was no water in the pool. I have no idea how long it has not been working. That should be on their website! You would be off sleeping in your car! This hotel needs to be closed down! I tried uploading photos but that isn't working.

The TV remote didn't work and had tape on the back to hold the batteries in.

This motel is a short drive from the venue of the convention I attended, the price was attractive, the breakfast included the basic foods I seek, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and included a hair dryer that some motels no longer provide and the shower worked well. The grounds around the motel are not well maintained and the pool and spa seem to be permanently shut down, providing a poor first impression. The hallways have a musty odor and the hallway carpet shows signs of wear. The TV had all the channels I wanted to see, but the remote control functioned so sporadically that it did not seem worth the trouble to try to turn it on and off and to change channels. When I pointed out to an employee that the toilet ran continuously the whole time I was staying there, wasting a lot of water, he said "I don't care. Does it bother you?" The staff did not seem to have the same welcoming demeaner that I have experienced at other motels where I have stayed. In general, I felt that my basic needs were met, but not to the extent that I had a favorable impression of the motel.

Loved customer service clean room and convenient location

The property was OK for a one night stay. But overall could use some cleaning up and refreshing inside and out. The price was not the greatest for a property in this condition. Overall, probably would look for somewhere else to stay if I were in the area again.

Found a bed bug in the morning after my stay and the hallway’s had a sewage smell to them. Rooms are outdated but was not expecting a 5 star hotel or the bed bugs either! Would not stay again unless it’s been renovated and fumigated. Staff were very polite and respectful.

Very quite and it was nice to have fresh coffee

Staff was friendly and bed was just OK. That’s the only good thing I can say. The grounds were horrible. Landscaping overgrown. Trash laying around. Carpet in entire place gross. Pool and hot tub closed. Breakfast room needs updated and cleaned. TV remote cracked and battery cover missing, so they taped it. Blow dryer in bathroom didn’t work. Blanket on the bed was old and felt rough.

The place is older and quite rundown. Both pool and hot tub were empty with signs stating out of order. I got the impression they have been empty for quite some time. Owner is not investing any funds into the place.

Availability and price Toilet didn't flush, carpets dirty, worn down. But still kind of clean.

this hotel provided the bare minimum. Shower and toilet required some fidgeting to get them to work, bedroom was poorly appointed, pool was advertised by not filled, breakfast was substandard enough that I went to the McDonalds across the street, etc. etc.

The hotel was not up to any type of standard whatsoever. The elevator and walk ways were filthy. The front desk clerk charged me a $100 deposit of which I tried to pay in cash but was told they “ran out of receipts” so my friend used her credit card. The front desk clerk was actually very intimidating and not friendly. The whole hotel smelled like marijuana and bad food. The pool was not in service which was very disappointing in the summer. The bedspreads had cigarette burns and were extremely used and old. The experience was not good. I prepaid so was not able to get a refund. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I did not feel safe. The guests next to our room said the hotel housed homeless people which is not the issue. The homeless lady next store had PTSD which she shared with us when we met her, and screams and night terrors. The whole experience was unreal and I won’t ever go there again. Sorry to be negative but it’s just the truth. I am not that picky either but this place was bad.

Convenient location, but the pool was closed.

It is a spacious room, friendly staff. Close to amenities.

The pool and jacuzzi were inoperable, the room stunk. Breakfast was below par. Underwhelming.
