There is no staff at this property; you get a code via text/email to get into your room. I had to reach out to get my room number and code even though I was told it would arrive at 4:00 pm. The room itself was clean and fairly new, the outside and common hallways are somewhat run down. There are outside lights on the exterior walkways that shine right into the rooms, and even with room darkening curtains light spilled in throughout the night.

The room was clean, but that is about the extent of the benefits of staying here. The trash cans in the outdoor hallways were all overflowing and smelled. There is no front desk person to help. I checked in later due to traffic and had to wait for automated text messages to respond when I was unable to get into my room. They have a number posted to text or call with any issues and that number never responded to me. The clientele is what you would expect at a less expensive roadside motel. Two doors down a man had multiple visitors purchasing things from him and the woman next to my room kept going in an out and slamming her door at 2:00am and 4:00am. If all you need is a place to sleep, then it's ok. If you're looking to feel safe and relaxed, this probably isn't it.

This place was NASTY. I’m confused by the good reviews and the 8.0 rating because it was not sanitary. My partner and I stayed for an hour before leaving and finding somewhere else to stay. For starters there was MOLD on the ceiling. And like, a lot of it. The tub was dirty. The room had a weird smell. The hallway our room was in appeared to be unfinished because there was cardboard running all the way down the hall. The hallway carpet looked like it had never be cleaned. There was dirt, candy wrappers, trash, etc. They also don’t have a front desk, which is both a security concern and inconvenient when you need help with something. Customer service over the phone was friendly and as helpful as they can be, but there’s just only so much you can do if there’s no customer service staff on site. I don’t usually leave bad reviews even if I didn’t enjoy my stay, but so much visible mold in the rooms feels like a genuine health hazard and I absolutely would not recommend staying here.

This was my first time staying at this property. The room was clean, the overall building was well maintained and checking in was very easy. We only stayed for the a weekend but it checked all the boxes with convenience to the beach and local food.

Wasn’t what was advertised on Expedia. Older building , nasty entrance and walking areas around hotel entrances. Rooms small, not my standard. I don’t stay in hotels with doors on outside. Just didn’t feel safe, didn’t stay at the hotel.

Lighting bad was in the back. Ice maker was not working. tub rust at drain

We just liked the location . The room is really small and was smelling like sewage. The toilet seat was also not good.

The room was remodeled. The bed was very comfortable. The laminate floors were dirty. We did like the mid island location. Overall it was just fair.

First time I stayed at a non contact hotel. One drawback is if you're early, you can't have an early check-in. Your room and pascode are sent at 4:pm. It's an older property, but the room was comaftable enough for what I needed. Good location, for stores and restaurants. Free parking, an elevator are welcome ameneties. I would consider returning to the Hotel Carolina.

There’s absolutely no staff on premises. Check in has to be done by phone. The property is very old, under renovation but very old. Great location though

Easy parking, good wi-fi. Lots of amenities that have been recently refreshed. Comfortable bed and pillows.

This property is nothing what it describe. It’s dirty. The lock on the door was broken. It had a big hole in the wall. The microwave did not work, even after moving it into a different outlet and the tub had mildew in it. This property is nothing what it describe. It’s dirty. The lock on the door was broken.
