This is not a welcoming motel. This motel does not offer breakfast or any kind of waiting room reception area. One must press a button to get someone to open the door just to check in. The front desk clerk treated us as though we were disrupting his day when we checked in. A Very gruff unfriendly man and not at all personable, he apparently has zero customer service skills and does not speak English to communicate with customers. The bed was comfortable and had clean sheets although the bed had very old bedding and flat pillows. It appears the owners do not care to upgrade or spend a penny extra for decent accommodations. We had the unfortunate experience of having the shower handle break right off as I was turning on the water- it was corroded and unfixable without a plumber so they did move us to another room. The price this motel charges is beyond too high considering what I mentioned and the fact there are not any of the normal things one would expect such as an ice machine or towels that have enough substance to dry a body…... I’m sure there are better places to stay in Junction City.

I guess I got what I paid for, the price was what drew me to this hotel. RV park next to the hotel was loud and noisy, no interaction with the gentleman checking me in. They only supplied 2 bath towels. TV remote had some sticky substance on it, had to wash it off to use it. It just seemed they were not making an effort to be hospitable.

The Western Motel is an older motel but it room was very clean and comfortable. We will most likely stay here again the next time we are in Junction City.

Location is close to Safeway, Starbucks in Safeway and other shopping. About one mile from the downtown area. Decent size room and glad to have a coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge. I travel with earplugs so the nearby train traffic did not wake me. The ac worked well and had a real, wall mounted thermostat. The bed was not comfortable for me but it was for my partner. Last year, when I stayed, I liked the bed. Not sure if the bed was a different one than last time. When I started to put our items in the mini fridge, I found the I surfaces covered in sticky goo. The man who was working was around, servicing the rooms. I let him know and he came in and cleaned the fridge. Same as last year for the towels. All thin, small., worn. One of each. We were staying 3 nights. I asked the man for one extra of each type. He only gave us 2 more bath towels, no washcloths or hand towels. I think that was partly a language barier issue. The ones he gave us were a bit thicker than the regular ones in the room. Coffee maker is still a one cup type, not a regular pod type. Every day we had to get more coffee packs from the man.

The check-in was smooth and the room was very clean. The staff was helpful with our two questions. It is basic, but worked well for us. I would return!

Office closes early, but staff was waiting for our arrival. Unfortunately, the location is right beside the train tracks. The motel itself was fine.

The room was clean, bed comfortable. We were in the last room on the upper floor, so nobody walking by our window. From the outside, the building and property is pretty sketchy. The "RV Park" is trailers parked along the back of the parking lot, right up to the motel. Some clearly live there full time, junk outside. Didn't feel safe leaving our car parked there. The lobby locked, walk up window with bars closed. We rang the buzzer, and after hearing some yelling from inside, someone did come unlock the lobby door and check us in. If there was wifi, we were not informed. There was absolutely no information in the room regarding any sort of amenities or check out. No freezer in fridge, no ice. The price shown on Booking.com was $80, but changed to $140 when I entered the reservation date. Not knowing the area, I chose the room because of its proximity to our destination. Ridiculously expensive for a basic room with two full sized beds in a seedy setting, with a view of the parking lot/RV Park. Unfortunately, didn't think to take a photo.

The room was very clean. Room wasn't very soundproof. Could hear person in next room snoring.

Clean and comfortable all you need

We had to check-in super late and they were very accommodating, and I could tell they had just one of them just woke up to check us in. It's kind of old school check-in. So everything was written down, and I think put in later, but they were really nice elderly couple.
-
Inside the room was ok but the outside was not even close to what was pictured. Had to check in though a window and there was people living in trailers in the parking lot.

I want to "Thank You" again for my clean room and the convenience for arriving late everyday I was there due to my charitable commitments in Eugene. I also appreciate your families commitment to keeping the hotel clean, quite, safe which made my stay very enjoyable. Life is precious, and your family made me feel welcome.

It is family owned by a nice couple. Room service everyday - but I think its too much so i asked for only as needed. The train whistle- actually it wasn't too bad.
