Frequently asked questions
How far in advance should I book hotel rooms for a team offsite in Las Vegas?
For a group of 9 or more rooms, start at least 60 to 90 days out so Engine Groups has time to coordinate the room block with the property. For smaller groups of 8 rooms or fewer, you can book self-serve closer to the dates, though early booking gives you more choice and often better rates. Las Vegas properties fill quickly around conventions and peak travel windows, so earlier is better.
What's the easiest way to get my team to Las Vegas for the offsite?
Harry Reid International Airport serves Las Vegas and sits just minutes from most of the hotels on this list, making arrivals simple. Many properties offer shuttles or the city's rideshare network is dense, so getting from the airport to your offsite hotel and back is straightforward. If your team is flying in from different cities, coordinate arrival windows so everyone lands within a few hours of each other.
How do I pick the right size hotel for my company retreat?
Match the property's meeting space to your agenda. If you need multiple breakout rooms for workshops, a hotel like Crockfords Las Vegas with 15 meeting rooms and about 250,000 square feet gives you flexibility. If your offsite is a single plenary session with meals, a smaller event footprint works fine. Walk through your schedule, count the concurrent sessions, and compare that to each hotel's room count and layout.
What should I compare when choosing where to host a team offsite?
Start with event square footage and the number of meeting rooms, then look at guest-room capacity to ensure the property can house your group. Check the distance between sleeping rooms and meeting space so the team isn't trekking across campus. Compare rates, invoicing options, and whether the hotel can accommodate your catering and AV needs (amenities vary by property). Engine lets you search and compare these hotels side by side.
How do I book a block of rooms for the team?
If you need 9 or more rooms, Engine Groups handles the room-block booking for you. For 8 rooms or fewer, you can book self-serve on Engine. For the meeting and event space itself, you can find and request a venue through Engine Spaces, Engine's venue product that covers thousands of properties. Engine offers consolidated invoicing, pre-negotiated rates, and no membership fee for both paths.
