what a pleasant surprise! i loved my stay

Some of the newer reviews really had me worried. Thankfully, we had no issues. Yes, overall the rooms need to be updated, but they are clean. We had a group of rooms so this was pretty consistent across all the rooms. Sheets and beds are comfortable. The couch was older and a bit stained but no more than expected with use over several years. Customer service can definitely stand to be improved. We lost $ in the vending machine. It happens, but the counter staff could have let us know there was another machine upstairs. Simple information is helpful when you need a bottle of water. We didn't experience the breakfast, pool, or exercise equipment. Yes, this hotel is in a less desirable part of town, but it sits on a property that is isolated with easy access to the highways. Ample parking and well lit lot. There were no sketchy people or activities going on around the hotel that we saw and one night we didn't get back to the hotel until almost 3am. The things I was impressed with for this price point: individually wrapped soaps/shampoos/conditioners, nice towels/linens, daily maid service without requesting it.

Windows were broke on first floor and did not lock. We tried three different rooms. After the third the manager Venessa told us we had to accept one of the rooms or leave. I had even asked if maintenance could put a piece of wood in to window could not be opened unless by us if needed. In the end I tried to record her telling me to leave if we didn’t want one of the rooms and she then walked off and told front desk lady to check us out. We had just driven 5 hrs and had school activities to be to in less than a hour. I even told them that and said we wanted a room there but just wanted a safe room and she said we have giving you three attempts and we are checking you out.

The property was in very poor Repair. The curtains in the room were torn. The heater was disconnected and we had to call maintenance. They said they were short staffed and did not clean the room, did not replace towels, did not empty trash. They charged a premium because this was a Texas Tech home football weekend, but provided well below premium quality. I would never stay at this hotel again.

Checking in was easy, the stay was great, the only problem we encountered was our fridge didn’t work and I told front desk but nothing got fixed and we stayed 3 nights. The breakfast was good and our room was clean.

Overall, the hotel was sufficient. There were some things could’ve been better such as the keys we constantly needed to get our cars re-keyed for the room because of God forbid they touch a magnet of some kind (or you look at it wrong.) The fitness center left a lot to be desired as an amenity. If you’re in the mood, the breakfast was good for the price. We didn’t use the pole, but it is indoors, which is nice for colder winter months.

Sheets were clean and showers No lights and fridge didnt work had to ask for light bulbs

A/C worked Bed linens were ragged and torn, curtains were not operable, bed was very uncomfortable with a dip in the middle and mattress was hard. Bedside light shades were torn. No iron was available. Coffee maker did not work. No information on how to get on WI-FI. We turned TV on and it had no sound. The front desk attendant did not know what was wrong with it. We troubleshot it , and found a cable was not connected. It worked after we hooked it back up. There was a room down the hall that people were smoking in. We could smell it the entire stay. We will not be staying here in the future.

Girl at check in was very friendly she was sweet. However the girl in the early evening didn't want to be bothered. I guess she was having a bad day The girl in the early evening. The refrigerator wasn't working but only 1 night stay

Disappointing

Good environment and breakfast.

I will not be staying here again. My bathroom had black mold on the ceiling. The stone slab was falling off the counter. My TV and phone in the room did not work. I went down to let the front desk know, and was not offered any assistance. I just received an "OK" . I would not stay here.

Clean room, excellent shower water pressure. The handle in the shower was hard to turn, tv did not work, the fridge did not work, the carpet was coming up and you had to wear shoes or you would step on a carpet strip tack.

Superb

I was happy with the clean bathrooms and good breakfast!
