Great staff

Breakfast were decent

Everything was clean but the bed was horribly uncomfortable - it was on a metal frame and squeaked VERY loudly every time you sat/laid on that side or rolled over. Front desk woman (blonde) was a bit rude upon check in, but all of the other staff members were very kind.

Good location and great views of Morro Rock. Room was clean and was comfortable. Bathroom could use more lighting, especially over the shower area. Overall, a good stay.

Had a wonderful time. My favorite part of the hotel was the second story patio. That was the place I was for sunrise and evenings reading my book. It was very peaceful with a view of the rock and the water.

Property was one block up from the Morro Bay beach area. The lady at the front desk, who also handled breakfast items and other tasks, was exceptional. Great personality, polite, efficient. She was very knowledgeable of the area and gave us great directions in finding stores, gas stations and other places. Property had an out door, second floor deck that over looked the "Rock".

Helpful and Nice staff, nice room, good breakfast.

We had a great stay. Desk person was very informative. Room was nice and clean. Our only negative comment was that the bed did not have a fitted sheet. It had a flat sheet that barely covered the top of the mattress. It was just strange to fight with that sheet all night.

The rooms were very cozy nice, towels for showering do need to be replaced I did not like my shower towels and also the pillows were very uncomfortable maybe need to be replaced too.. the Front Desk lady was training a new person and was not very rude she didn’t explain about the breakfast in the morning or what time didn’t really make you feel comfortable the man she was training was very nice.

Service at check in was terrible. I felt ignored and she was dismissive about the inconvenience of my needing to go back and reactivate key cards three times! She kept me waiting for a teaching moment with new staff and a phone call unrelated to the task at hand. The least she could have done was comp me for the $4 soda. The room would have had a great view of Morro Rock but the drapery was horribly hung and incorrectly, unable to move the middle panel to the side in order to see out the slightly filthy windows. The bed was horribly lumpy and the pillows were flat. Only plus was the crosswind thru the room with east and west facing windows making the swamp cooler unnecessary.

The room was the dirtiest room I’ve ever stayed in. I arrived super late and couldn’t go anywhere. Did not sleep more than an hour. So bad I booked another place down the way for our 2nd night. Stains in the bathroom. Shower, counters, the bathroom door was exposed, there was thick dust on the curtains, the floor and baseboards were filthy and untouched corners full of dirt.

The check in process was very slow. And even though they went to check my room before I entered, it was not very clean. The floor, specifically, was not clean at all. The towels felt like sandpaper and the bedspread was faded and/or dirty. The bed was very comfortable though - and the ceiling fan was great. I feel like it was overpriced for the type of property that it was.
-
Check in was not a good experience. The lady blamed Expedia for her canceling my room

Lori goes above and beyond for her guests! She provides exceptional service and makes every stay feel welcoming and special. Her kindness and attention to detail truly stand out.

We came in early hoping to check in, the front desk informed us the rooms weren’t ready yet and to come back in about 40 minutes, wasn’t a big deal. We came back about an hour or so later, 2-3 guests were in front of us waiting for the front desk who wasn’t anywhere around. So we waited another 30 minutes, again, no big deal. Check in was fine, the front desk person was kind enough to give us a treat for our pup, we had no issues with the staff. When we got into our room it smelled heavily of cleaning products, there was a hole in the screen for our bathroom so there were a few mosquitoes in the room. We were on the first floor so it seems as though it hadn’t been remodeled in ages, maybe only a few rooms had been remodeled. The location itself was great, close to the main strip, Morro Rock in view, quiet neighborhood. In the middle of the night my husband went to use the restroom and when he turned the lights on, he saw multiple cockroaches crawling and scurrying away. We were disgusted with fear for infestation in our own belongings. We packed up our things and left, we wanted to inform the front desk but no one was there. Some of the rooms are outdated, this in particular was not too well maintained. For the price we paid we expected a little more from Best Western, we were very disappointed.

Staff was very abrasive and made not only myself but other guest feel unwelcome and a bother. The other guest checking in were discussing how rude the women was who did the check in. She kicked out multiple guest from the lobby forcing everyone to go outside until she was ready. Same thing happened at breakfast people where inline getting their breakfast and she announced that people needed to getout of the lobby and go to the deck or thier room. Getting into the room it had a terrible smell. We booked a room with a view and did not get one. The beds were very uncomfortable and pillow are extremely small. They are in the shape of a square and just big enough to cover your head. We also selected a larger room but the bathroom was very small and extremely difficult to have space to bath children. The celling fan did not have a cord and the light did not work. I wont not ever stay here again. Do not recommend

The manager was very rude. She blamed us for having brought our dogs to this dog friendly hotel. We had to wait 2 hours for her to accommodate us with a room, even though we arrived at check in time. The next morning the toilet was clogged and water was backing up into the bath tub. Once fixed the house keeper didn't clean up the debris left in the tub. The following day the house keeper didn't sweep the floor or make the bed when servicing the room. The breakfast was good each morning.

Nothing Shower didn't drain. Toilet wouldn't flush. No Toilet paper, not enough towels. Water coming up from shower drain. Lack of friendly customer service.

Great location. Office clerk was bothered when she found out I had 2 dogs and I asked for floor level room. She had me wait while she helped other gest. Seemed rude and uncalled for.
