City Express by Marriott Mountain View/Sunnyvale

Located near expressways to north and south bay area. The TV and phone line didn't work. Front desk was kind enough to check the room and fix the TV issue himself except he took a while and he couldnt fix the room phone. Because i needed a landline I was moved to a different room, which looked like a downgraded room. I made no complaints but because my employer needed me to stay another few days and because this hotels location is so convenient with reasonable rates, I came back checked in again the following day. They gave me a corner room that smelled like mold, you cant open the balcony door because there's water actively leaking from above, the bathroom door had a hole they patched up very poorly for a "Boutique Hotel" you'd think they would replace the door. instead, they continue to rent out this neglected room that looks like a cheap motel room you find in the middle of nowhere. I went back to front desk and asked if room 221 is usually left vacant or is it used and checked out to guest regularly. His response was yes its a room regularly checked out to guest! I guess if you are expecting nothing more than a cheap motel then stay here. Otherwise dont let the name "Boutique" Hotel fool you.

The only issue I had was the Fitness Center didn't have cleaning spray or Clorox wipes for the equipment. There were 2 large rolls of mat material taking up space where exercise equipment could be placed.

Everything was great! Will be coming back here.

The location for me was fantastic and the hotel itself excellent, just what I need at an affordable price. My only comment would be the lack of a desk and chair as we are always in need of a place to work. Thanks for everything!

Clean and nice facilities

Conveniently located, clean and spacious room (including bathroom), ample parking,

Did not have the breakfast. The free coffee machine in the Lobby was are go too. Smart and Final grocery store across the way. Bought food there. Adequate fridge and microwave. Comfortable bed. Parking was front and back of motel. Parking monitored by cameras. Furniture was brand new nice layout. Shower tub. Excellent water pressure. Excellent location to downtown Mountain View on Castro. The Cal-train is very close. Easy to park and take the train into SF.

We had a minor issue during our stay, but overall the stay was fine and the hotel was in a good, convenient location. The staff was also very helpful. I reached out to management afterward and Teresa was incredibly responsive and handled everything quickly and professionally. I really appreciated how seriously she took my concerns and how easy she made the whole process. Great customer service, and I would definitely stay here again.

Very clean room but no waffles for breakfast. No waffles for breakfast and orange juice taste like water.

Nice clean hotel

Location was good. They don’t clean the rooms everyday. I stayed for three days and it was not cleaned for all 3 days as they mentioned that they have policy of cleaning room after 3 days. Atleast they should change the towels and make beds proper but nothing was done. Response was so late. Breakfast was so minimal that even 100$ motel can provide same kind of breakfast. Not worth the money.

The Staff {Oscar} was outstanding, asked me if I needed anything at any time just call the front desk. The breakfast was great, a nice coffee/espresso machine in the hallway on your way to your room that you can grab either an espresso or cup of fresh coffee anytime you would like. The renovations, and the atmosphere makes a big difference on my stay here this time........not taking away what the prior hotel management was! Good place to stay.

Room was remodeled but smelled overwhelming like smoke

It was good location safe... okay ...several easy walking stores etc..facilities ok...needed a chair in room!!! BEEN A WEEK NOT RETURNED MY DEBIT DEPOSIT!! needed chair maybe table in room...especially for multi stays...work and eat in room!

A pleasant hotel. I liked having a large window facing the bed, which made the room brighter than usual. The room is equipped with everything necessary. There is a 24/7 coffee machine in the lobby. Free on-site parking is available. Excellent value for money. There are shops and cafes across from the hotel, and the neighborhood is safe and clean. Limited breakfast selection; the coffee machine broke down on the second day. The air conditioner was quite noisy. Limited TV channel selection.
