Location, price. It is a very simple, bare bones motel. Close enough to Tanglewood. Contact with the staff by text was easy, and they responded immediately. It was clean, and that is most important to me! Beds were ok, not super comfortable, but fine for 1 night.

Conveniently close to where I am Dirty rooms looks like they didn’t clean good

What I really liked was that we were there only one night. I'm glad I did not have to deal with any staff face-to-face because I was very dissatisfied. We were texted the code for the door lock which was convenient and easy. When we were reading reviews for this motel "Retro" seemed to come up alot. "Retro" to me does not mean decrepit, tiles falling off the bath room walls and musty. I use a CPAP and the next night in a different & wonderful motel when I turned my CPAP on, all I could smell was the musty odor of the Heart of the Berkshires. At least the bedding seemed clean but I honestly had trouble falling asleep because this place creeped me out. This motel is not in good shape, there were weeds growing up in the parking lots and walkways & I'm glad I did not have to deal with any staff face-to-face because I was very dissatisfied. And there was a commode chair in our room-why?

Cheapest place I could find. Shower stall was rusty and water pressure was weak, but I understand the owners are slowly upgrading. It’s a cheap motel relative to the rest of the area.

Not much to like Beds, bathroom, lights- rooms are not ready to open for business
-
Nothing but they refunded my stay. Dirty, damaged, uncomfortable

The manager was nice and gave me no trouble refunding my money. This hotel is here for people with pets they leave behind in room. The hot water didn't work, the shower was small and poor lighting in bathroom, the shower pan had holes in it and the drain was slow. the baseboards were falling of the wall next to toilet and being held on by scotch tape. The shower walls were soft and mushy. I could hear the neighbors with the window closed and there were no towels.. the hotel room door had a gap and had to slam shut. I needed a hot shower and a bed to sleep and this room did not meet my needs

Nothing My husband sat outside in one of the chairs and he got stung by a bee. There was a bees nest in the chair. The bed had no support on springs.
-
Location/setting was convenient Bed was creaky and uncomfortable. Bathroom was gross - peeling wallpaper, broken towel rack, flooring and everything just old and yucky.
-
Comfortable beds, good internet and tv Room was not clean, floors dirty, drinks under the bed, dust, shower had hair in it, landscaping not kept up, deteriorating building
-
Comfortable and clean, close to an event we were attending Small shower

The beds and sheets were comfy and clean. Was a good enough place to shower and rest! Air conditioning was a little outdated. Lots of windows and not thick enough curtains. My husband and I used blankets to help block out the lights at night.

More than rustic, definitely go with simple needs -- sheets, pillows, locks on the door, lights, a frig not too noisy, quiet location, price. I had the mishap of limited cell phone use so getting the internet info was pained. But once I got the info, there was no info--username & password corresponding. There were other guests with other internet info on a confirmation but that wasn't working either, not in the annex building. Guest in the main building was able to connect though. The room I was assigned to originally wasn't prepared for guests but management made it up to me with a room with a larger bed. The only way to communicate with management is by intercom and they don't always answer your call.

Location Shabby bathroom. Towel rack broken leaving unlevel twisted bar. Rugged walls not maintained.

Location , refrigerator Overwhelmed by fragrances from bedding and deoderizer, gave us headaches. My daughter sat on the bed side and the mattress went through the frame to the floor. Shower in 9 was unusable with rusted floor...ac plugged into ungrounded surge box and overloaded extension cords

I was looking for a less expensive room to stay one night. This room exceeded that by including a refrigerator, microwave, Keuig coffee maker, as well as a television. It would have been good for a multi-night stay, if I bought groceries. It had two double or queen size beds so could have slept four. The quilts looked thin but were fine for a summer visit. The room had a a thermostat control that looked a bit like the TV control.. The price was great for the area.. The location was convenient for me. This is as advertised -- a 1950s era hotel in one floor rooms in two structures. It was advertised as refurbished and that is apparent in that the interior looks better and slightly nicer than other 1950s era hotels Iwere I've stayed. It was easy to find but set back from the highway enough to be quiet in a quiet neighborhood. The mattress is terrible. It didn't feel like a regular mattress, but more like a large bag filled with straw or hay, or an under-inflated air mattress. One would hardly sit on the edge of the bed without feeling like one could slip off. It was maybe okay for someone who sleeps on his or her back, but not comfortable for a side sleeper. The room had an electronic lock and I was e-miled and texted a code to open it, but then couldn't tell when inside if the door was locked, so used the manual choin.. I never saw any staff in person so just left in the morning well before the checkout time since I was given no other constructions about how to tell the staff I was gone.

Shower. Fridge, microwave. Size of room. Clean. Quiet. Great diner, Flo's, close by. Room needs work, ceiling plaster. Towels used to fill open window spaces around air conditioner.

There was picnic table back side, but we didn’t use. 1. It says hair dryer and coffee maker are included the. Room. But, not. We called. Then, they brought a coffee maker, but no dryer during we were out. 2. They brought paper cups and milk for coffee. But the milk was staled. (Due to not refrigerated.) 3. When my friend was trying to sit down on the front porch chair, she was bitten by a bee. We couldn’t find bees’ nest. But there is around chairs. So, it is dangerous. 4. One of bed was too high. The top level is higher than my hip. ( I am 5.1 ) Need to climb, it is difficult to sleep on the bed for senior, child or short person.

Super comfortable, clean and retro! Big room, small fridge, microwave, coffee machine, knotty pine walls, old-time quiet. Just great for a short stay!

Shower nozzle broken in unit 9.
