Reviews
-
Room was clean, no food options except for a little shop inside the reception. Very good location
-
The Marriott Aloft Portland lobby and room were clean except the bed sheets did not smell clean (had sweat smell). The water pressure was low so it took a while to shower. I liked that the room was spacious and parking was close.

Nice hotel in a great location
-
Exceptional
-
It’s located close to the wharfs and also to the Old Port, making walking around very easy!
-
The location was pretty awesome Parking $40/night so we had to park down the street; huge big picture window in our room literally looking into the people house next door so no walking around after a shower- the door are incapable of shutting quietly so anytime anyone leaves/enters their room it sounds like they are slamming the door; and paper thin walls- would never stay here again

Clean, modern, comfortable, great location. Nothing

Ideal and comfortable stay for downtown.

cleanliness
-
No coffee lids on Saturday. The interior decorating was horrible from the insides of the elevators to wallpaper in bathroom. Furniture ugly and extremely uncomfortable. Linens were cheap as were towels. For the cost of this hotel it should be luxurious not feel like a prison.
-
Very clean room, centrally located, and the staff was very nice.
-
Walking distance of the waterfront and the old port. Modern furniture and amenities. Not much really, apart from the price, but this seems to be the norm over a weekend in Portland.

This hotel stay was very pleasant. It was one of my stops on my 10 day trip from Boston to Bar Harbor, Maine, and I will say that it was my favorite hotel that I stayed at (out of the 4). The pros: -Ideal location: Walking distance to Old Port (best part of Portland IMO), SO MANY delicious food options that you can walk to, tons of shopping nearby, water views, etc. -Convenient shuttle available at the front desk that will drive you anywhere withing a 5 mile radius, you just have to coordinate with the driver ahead of time. -Microwave and sink available in the lobby--convenient if you have left overs or want to wash your water bottle. -Laundry room available on the second floor--this was a life saver because I under packed and was able to do a load of laundry to take me through the rest of the trip. It did cost a total of about $8/$9 to get the detergent and to pay for the washer and dryer cycle (cash only). -Great gym amenity! I utilized the gym twice. It had what I needed to do both upper body and leg day! -Lastly, the most important: It was very clean! I have high standards when it comes to cleanliness and am super picky with hotels and this one was very clean & well maintained! The Cons: -The overnight parking is expensive ($40 per night). We opted out and instead drove to a lot that was on Commercial street--Angelo's Acres Parking Lot. This was only $5 per day/night! Saved ourselves 35$! If you are traveling solo, just be careful walking to this at night.

location and cleanliness have to pay to park and no free breakfast.

The location was great. The place was very clean and comfy!

We stayed one evening here and loved it! It’s right downtown, the room was comfortable and clean. Chris the bartender was a DELIGHT! He shared so many recommendations with us and just made our trip so memorable. The hotel also went out of their way to ensure we felt celebrated on our anniversary trip. Really appreciate them all and will return!

Room was excellent and definitely recommend, great location. We had rental car so parked on roadside and used parking app so much cheaper than parking supplied by Aloft.
-
location was convenient to downtown harbor area. we didn't partake of the breakfast. and thank you for the room upgrade to a water vew room. beautiful.
-
The hotel room was very comfortable, the beds were really nice, the layout of the bathroom was cool too. Great location. We didn't eat any of the breakfast stuff so can't comment on that.
