Inconvenience for my last minutes reservation. however, first room that was given to me I did not satisfied due to the smell of cigarettes and weeds. From Rome 212 to 214. Overall closer to the airport.

The Econolodge near the Portland airport has very friendly staff that works hard to make you feel comfortable! They keep the rooms clean and listen to any concerns you may have and try to help you the best that they can! I have always felt safe and taken care of when staying here for business. The location is not The Best in town, definitely better than most places on Sandy Blvd. If you were coming from out of town, know that there is a large homeless population in the area and you will see signs of drugs and prostitution in the neighborhood, but the Econo Lodge is clean. Don’t leave belongings in cars, but that goes for almost anywhere in Portland. The neighborhood is a little ran down. But unless you’re going walking out on the main drag of Sandy Blvd Late at night, no one will bother you (and even then it might be somebody offering you money because they think you’re a working girl), but it’s pretty safe. I stay here as a single woman all the time when traveling for work and have never had any problems. The transit center is right across the street. Easy access to the highways to get anywhere in the Portland area or to travel north south east or west out of Portland. The airport is one exit down. Truly worth the little extra money, than staying at a motel six or budget inn or something like that in the area.

Close to airport, attentive staff, price First room, had bugs in bathroom and more flies all over the mirror. We had to change rooms. TV difficult to operate. Staff was gracious to come up and show us how to operate, and promptly gave us another room when requested.

It was very comfortable had enough room plus my children were able to relax.

NEVER knew there was breakfast, but would not have indulged anyway. I don't consume processed food. The staff was great. TOO close to the whore strow! TOO many shady characters. TOO much exposure when you open the door. I felt very unsafe and was on high alert. We tried to cancel our stay, but could not.

Staff are always so nice and helpful

The hotel in not in a great area, when we arrived there were homeless people hanging around the parking lot. The room was clean, but the outside and area around was sketchy.
-
The staff was nice. Someone tried to enter my room at 11:30 pm. Their key worked and the only way they didn’t gain entrance was because of the additional lock. They ran away when confronted. There is no security or anything there. Unsafe.
