The hotel itself was pretty well kept and in a convenient location for an event I was going to. However the front desk employees were very rude, condescending, and untruthful when I asked questions about the room I booked. I booked a 2 queen bd room, but when we entered the room it had 1 bd and a pull out couch. We went back down to talk to the front desk and they were very defensive and refused to give us the room I booked because they had “ 2 big parties coming tomorrow”. It does NOT matter if another guests stay is larger than anothers. Booking is first come first serve. I had to keep my booking due to us most likely not finding another opening at a near by hotel

The room was quiet, the beds were comfortable, and the dog area was good. The room was a little small and should have looked when booking.

Xtra charge for parking $10. The six extra charges on my card. I was informed it would be $26 in case I wanted snacks; I don't eat from the snack area. The breakfast was NOT good, including the cleanliness. After COVID - places should be more aware of the situation. Other guests blowing their nose around the food and more. They should change their hotel to 2 stars. WAY OVER RATED and in the end, the extra charges are over $100 on my card. I should've stayed at Motel 8 for $70 and Black Friday shopped with the extra $144 on my card. The whirlpool was on but no chlorine in it. I seriously want a refund. Normally I don't complain but that was too much money for that hotel. The night shift clerk was great. Nothing open on Thanksgiving night for food, clerk offered me her plate given to her which was a wonderful gesture (and it was) but I decline, I was able to stop and eat at a small place on the way to the hotel. The clerk gave the dinner to a homeless person on her way out. I had forgotten how slummed it really is in Portland. Oregon is one state that should be imprisoned for human rights violations.

The hotel staff were great & the hotel facilities were nice. Had to pay for a car parking space - guessing that was because it is located in an area with multiple rental areas.

The room was nice and so was the general property. Staff was very good. Bathrooms were a little gross and outdated

I found it difficult to locate, pinched streets lots of cars parked on the street going to this Hotel. After finding the Hotel, I was pleasantly surprised at the Hotel. If there is a downside it would be the walls allow noise from adjacent rooms. So, if you abide by the rules and observe the quiet times it can be a GREAT experience. The breakfast bar is world class as hot breakfasts go, best I’ve seen in years. There was some construction going on the time we were there limiting parking so, I don’t recommend trailers or large vehicles maneuvering in the tight assigned parking. We were there when the I/5 was shut down we live north going south on I-5 so our commute wasn’t bad, but coming there from south of Portland may be challenging during this freeway shutdown so check that if you’re coming from South of Portland going north on I-5. I was there with family, I’d recommend this for families only, not what I would look for for business. Pet friendly, I saw a few animals not sure where you’d walk then but they were in the hotel. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

Some of the staff were very nice. Some not so much. The food for the breakfast was good and plentiful. There are not two restaurants. There is a little pantry where you can buy things and the breakfast which is served in the morning. My very allergic sister was greeted with a sigh and eye roll when she asked for a non-down pillow which was found and then given to her in the lobby with a pillow case for which she was asked to put on and take it up to our room herself. The biggest issue was spiders. Lot's of them in our room. One was a good 3 inches in diameter. When we asked about a solution, the lobby assistant said there's nothing she could do since we were in the room. She said she would send someone up, I don't think that happened as there was yet another spider to kill. I came home with bites. Two other things. We were there for a week and the housekeepers only came twice, It sounds little, but we us half/half in our coffee, the last day there was none, the answer was sorry, our delivery didn't come. If it was me, I would have stopped by the super market and picked some up for the day since breakfast is a part of the price of the hotel...which is not cheap.
