Red Lion Hotel Portland Airport

The room was clean the bed was comfortable and hotel very close to the airport. The other guests were very noisy slamming doors no respect for the rest of us.

Near to airport Very old hotel , don’t even have water to drink . Card always can’t use.

If you don't mind jets roaring past your window, this might be the place for you. Unfortunately, the hotel needs major upgrading. The bathroom door didn't close properly, a hinge on the door was falling out and there was no "Privacy Please" door hanger. Oh, and the hotel charges you for parking! (Apparently, I wasn't paying them enough for the room.) Lame. I won't stay here again.

For dropping people off at the airport, the location is second to none. The tv remote was difficult to use, there was no freezer in the fridge, there was no bar of soap to wash one’s hands in the bathroom, and the handrail in the shower was at an odd angle.

I don't know why this hotel got a low rating. It was super clean, the staff was nice, and the location is right near the airport. Even the beds were super comfy. It is an older hotel, but it was surprisingly nice.

Building was old, smelled stuffy

Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. The room felt outdated, had an unpleasant smell, and was not comfortable. One of the biggest issues was the room door, which failed to work on seven separate occasions, requiring us to repeatedly return to the lobby for assistance. These ongoing issues made us feel uncomfortable and concerned about our safety throughout our stay. The overall condition of the property and quality of the amenities did not meet our expectations or reflect the price we paid. A hotel should provide guests with a clean, comfortable, and secure environment, and unfortunately, that was not our experience. We left feeling frustrated and disappointed. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this property.

Bad

The first problem was noise. At 1am there was a man next door screaming at his wife who had locked him out and refused to open the door. This went on for over an hour and staff did nothing to manage the problem.. Secondly, while be awakened, we were pretty sure we could here a mouse/rat scampering around in the TV console. We won't be returning.

The lady at the front desk was very friendly and informative.

In midst of updating. Room great. Hallways were in need of updating. Old and still had some old stale smoke smell. Looked like they were working on it.

Windows didn't close quite right. Still has a cigarette smell.
