The room was disgusting. The second we checked in the toilet was dirty, the air vents were covered in black dust. The stove looked like someone cooked and didn’t clean up after themselves, the floor was stained with black marks, the microwave smelled like expired food. The shower floor were stained and dirty.

Things were good in general.

Older facility, but the room is in good condition! it was basically a 1-bedroom apartment with wood floors throughout!

Shout out Bobby and the other dude James I think that was his name.

Great staff, great location, great value. Laundry right on the floor. Comfy bed.

Great location and service!

Location was very convenient to all of the downtown area. The kitchen had everything I needed for the week. The Wi-Fi was not dependable. I had to go over to the Mark Spencer hotel for reliable Wi-Fi.

Great location and a pretty, secure feeling entry courtyard. The room felt like walking into a 1950s black and white movie. Good restaurants and transportation nearby.

Positives: Our 1BR apt. had a wonderful bed and amazingly comfortable bedding. The staff was fantastic. There are many nearby sights and restaurants to enjoy, including Cheryl's on 12th, which we loved. The price was much lower than competing properties. They had lovely events available though we didn't attend them. We appreciated the complimentary bottled water. Needs attention: The rest of the room's furnishings were lacking. The seating in the room was cheaply made, old, and uncomfortable. The furnished kitchen had one fork, a few spoons, and some coffee cups, and an anemic selection of cookware but no drinking glasses. An HVAC unit stood in the floor and vented outdoors. It was either freezing cold or very hot in the bedroom because of this. The shower is tiny and had a shower head that did not work well. The remote was not made for that TV, so even though it brought up a menu for Roku, there was no way to access our Roku account or any of the stations because there were no buttons to allow up/down/left/right navigation. The location: The Pearl district is a vibrant, busy area. There is a high degree of homelessness and drug use in the area. Fun for people watching, but less so if you plan to walk around at night. Expect constant traffic noise and people yelling outside the window, especially when you have to open the window. We felt that it was adequate for the price, though it would be so easy for the hotel to pay attention to furnishing the room better.

Good location! Fantastic staff!

Stayed 2 nights with no issues. Location felt safe and convenient to walk to places downtown. It is right in town so there is noise at night. Stay was comfortable.

The room lacks a coffee maker. I was told I could return to the MARK Spencer hotel for coffee, but going down to the street and around the corner is not a substitute for making a hot cup of coffee in the morning in your room. This unit is a studio with a kitchen. However I found dirty knives and almost no silverware in the unit.

Already want to come back! Helpful, thoughtful staff present. Good communication experienced. I loved the aesthetics and history of the place along with the facts that it was safe and clean. Excellent urban location close to MAX and buses. Being close to Powell’s City of Books was amazing, one of the best location perks. Portland Art Museum and many stores and restaurants in the immediate area. Loved it!

I ended up at the Mark Spencer hotel, which is evidently connected to the hotel that I was originally booked at. The Mark Spencer hotel was outstanding in accommodations, in staff, in musical happy hour, in location, in answering questions, in fixing a very minor problem. All in all very terrific!!

Staff was outstanding!

Dusty in some areas, was not cleaned at all underneath the bed and near the fridge, but other than that, fine to stay at short term
