Pacific Shores Inn on Pacific Beach

It was fine for one night, but I will not stay more.

You cannot beat the location! Steps away from the beach! The room was clean and the staff was kind. We went during the week and it was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed some of the coffee shops and restaurants that were close by. Parking was easy and no extra charge! I would stay here again.

Location was great, one block from the beach but I had to wait 1 hour after the checkin window. I've been on the road for work and for leisure 6 months out of the year for the last 10years and never ran into this situation before. For such an expensive hotel this should not happen.

My family and I have been staying at this hotel since the 1990's I have come here with lots of different groups of people The location is the BEST and never have to worry about parking And the A/C worked Amazing and cooled the room very quickly The room we had this time was a bit outdated The freezer in the fridge was broken Our drain in the shower was clogged And it was a bit more money than in the past Plus we kept having to ask for more towels

Staff were friendly from start to finish. Location is AMAZING, steps away from Pacific Beach. Walking distance to coffee shops and restaurants. Dog friendly, dogs allowed on beach before 9AM and after 6 PM. BUSY beach and walking path. Huge bedrooms with good air conditioning. Pool looked clean. The only issue is parking. You are given a parking pass but are not guaranteed a parking space near your room especially at night. You may end up parking on the backside by the alley of the hotel or along the street if space isn't claimed early. There are a few unhoused folks near the hotel and by the beach.

As with most of the older properties near pacific beach they are aged and lacking in some areas and great in others. PS is no different, it's location is it's strongest asset. It's right there a 200-300 foot walk and there is Pacific Beach in all it's glory. A/C is probably the biggest issue the A/C unit in my room looked like it was in the Korean War However, it did work just wasn't pushing enough cool air for as hot as it was, A box fan was also provided which did help, but wasn't enough. So we went to target and got another box fan which made it bearable. I can't report on others rooms but ours was sufficient as far as the other items in the room.

Completely inadequate air conditioning. Damp carpets and room mildew smelling. On the plus side, great location, nice pool, reasonable price. We won’t stay again.

Property is just ok. A little run down. Had to switch room due to the smell of mold, BUT I will say staff were great, free parking and the location by Pacific Beach is Fantastic. If you’re visiting, just to enjoy the beach and the food and the area and have no plans to be in the room for very much time. This is absolutely a winner!

I paid over $400 for 2 nights. When I checked out I asked to use a guest bathroom before driving back to Nevada and was told no and to go look for a public one on the boardwalk. The room was booked as a premium room but there was nothing premium about it. Spend your money somewhere else where you actually feel welcome.

Close to the beach and worth it if you get a partial ocean view. Please note this a decent beach hotel, but if you want to stay directly on the beach front choose another hotel.

Location to ocean. Our room was in a garage. No view at all. Parking was a problem. We only got 2 coffee pods. The cleaning staff took way through rest of our coffee pods. The office opened quite late so we couldn't get morning coffee. Had to drive away to buy cups of coffee every morning. The toilet didn't flush correctly. Im sure other rooms were much nicer but we were in the garage.
