Holiday Inn Express & Suites Schererville by IHG

Location is great, it was quiet and clean. Temperature control was good Breakfast was ok. There was something scratchy inside the bed pillows. Value for the price could have been better. There's a motel across the street that's a better value,same quality

as did the interior shower curtain. We unfortunately will not stay here again.

Good sized rooms, clean (ish)...really needs a refurbishment. Showing age and wear. Staff was excellent.

I really enjoyed my stay here I always do this isn't my first time going that is a very nice place to stay the breakfast is amazing the staff is amazing and it's extremely clean

Booked 3 rooms, 2 king rooms, 1 standard room with 2 queen beds. When I checked in I was told I had all King rooms. Told her I needed a room with 2 queen beds. She told me I only booked a "standard" room and they considered a standard room a king bed room. Checked the reservation, called booking.com, confirmed my booking was correct. They told me the hotel was full and they couldn't do anything about it. Really poor customer service, sinks didn't do drain, AC didn't work in one of our rooms. Sheet was thread bare in our room. This place is not being maintained well.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, great breakfast

We enjoyed a pleasant stay. Just a simple, no frills hotel.

Location

Breakfast was average, maybe above average with rotating meals, but variety each day was pretty limited. One day it was biscuits and gravy, the other days it was omelets (pre-cooked). One day with bacon, other days sausage. Internet in room was just OK. Speed was limited but definitely acceptable (example: if you fast forward through a video, there is a long pause before resuming. Room was clean and comfortable. There was coffee available downstairs (almost 24/7 - except when it was being cleaned). The room did not have a coffee machine, hot water, but did have a small refrigerator. Everything was fine. If this is a hotel you choose when you are on a budget then you will definitely get your money's worth. There is nothing much to complain about. Maybe a couple of the tables at breakfast were wobbly, but we were satisfied with everything.

No ice machine on 2nd floor. Staff was in knowledgeable.

Rooms are not serviced and I stayed for 4 nights. The power went out for several hours on 8/21/26. I was hoping the hotel had a generator, it did not

The staff obviously were unable to correct the electrical problem, but truly, every member of the staff did a yeoman's job under the circumstances to help me and my wife have a very comfortable stay at the Schererville Holiday Inn. I will likely be in Schererville in the near future, and I will certainly stay at the Schererville Holiday Inn. No problems. No issues whatsoever.
