The location The noise, the door to the room can use some weather stripping to close up the gap between the door fame, and some sound proofing.

Great location by Ballard Avenue which is a beautiful historic street with fantastic restaurants, bars and stores. It does get loud at night here, the only negative. Wore ear plugs at night and all was well.

Location is really the reason to stay here.

That being said, the area is great! Fantastic restaurants and music venues all around. We woke up to the Sunday farmers market and it was a joy to walk thru all the stalls. Ask for the second floor if you like your windows open. Floor one is sidewalk level.

Very pleasant and professional staff. Check in was easy and my room was promptly available. Room was clean and comfortable. Location was excellent

Hands down the worst place we have ever stayed. The bed was torture, we could feel the springs. Loud, hot (no AC), complicated check in and parking and some random people rolling around in the hallways at 4:00 am knocking on our door. No amount of savings is worth staying here. Trust me. DONT DO IT!!

Location and staff, coffee in the a.m Shared toilet room not clean, stained walls. Disconnected portable a/c unit and parts in room. Ground floor window open for circulation was needed, however felt unsafe despite a wooden rod propped on sliding window. Bar time noise a little rough. Door opened into bed.

Used this as a base to explore the Ballard brewery district during a night in Seattle. It was just okay. It’s owned by the Ballard Hotel across the street, and check-in/out are handled at the other property. When I called about parking in advance, I was told to pull up in the loading zone out front and come inside for a garage pass. When I arrived, there property was directly on the street (no pull-off) and there was zero parking anywhere nearby . I repeatedly called the desk clerk for directions, and she did her best to guide me directly to the hotel’s parking garage. Iy wasn’t easy to spot—I circled several blocks for 20 minutes until I found it. It’s tiny and the spaces are tight, but it worked for my midsize rental. I had to visit the hotel desk for a pass to take back and place on my dash. The room itself opened directly onto the street—not my favorite as a woman traveling alone. Street noise filtered in, but the neighborhood got quiet early and the hotel provided earplugs. The room was reasonable and the bathroom was not fancy but was clean. The mattress was a quality one. The rug covering most of the bedroom floor… wasn’t nice. It was grungy and matted and past due for replacement. The mini coffee maker worked well, and the coffee provided was decent. All in all, a reasonable (if not amazing) place to spend a night.

Very good

Very friendly staff, stayed in the Inn with Euro bathroom which was fine. Our air condition unit was disconnected from the window which wasn’t apparent and it recycled hot air into the room. If you desire a quiet stay was a little lacking as the 100 level ks along an alley way and you can hear everyone finishing up their nights hooting and hollering. The bathrooms were not assessed for cleanliness during our one night stay, but other patrons were respectful. Bed was super comfy and room was as advertised, coffee in lobby in the morning.

Location can't be beat. Charming vibes. Room was very small, which we expected. However, there was no air conditioning, and the room was street level so it was very noisy having the window open. The toilets clogged very easily and the shower was mediocre.

Helpful, attentive staff Street level room had no buffer from street noise. Window AC unit made it impossible to close the blinds fully and they did not have black out so the room was bright super early. Room was so small the door hit the bed upon entry.

This is a European style, youth hostel type set up with only a few rooms having ensuite bathrooms (they provide bathrobes.) Those that do are supposedly very tiny - closet-like with doors that barely open. We stayed in room 208 for five nights and it was towards the back of the hotel and just across from the toilets and showers. No elevator so be aware you'll have to lug your stuff down a long hallway and up a bunch of stairs. Yes, it was loud at times but you're on Ballard Avenue so that's to be expected. No desk staff but rooms were cleaned thoroughly every day. Free access to the Olympic health club across the street is a bonus.

The images are pretty deceiving. We stayed in a room with a full bed for almost $300 - it was the smallest room I've ever stayed in. The room needs some major updates, and it was SO dang hot. The location was nice - I was traveling to work and could easily grab a nightcap since it was downtown Ballard. I would have felt better paying $125 for this room. Staff was super nice!

Great location for purpose of my trip. Staff of the hotel was always courteous and helpful. Seems to be an expensive neighborhood. Ok since most planned activities are also in the neighborhood.

Very poor

Wow not what we were expecting at all. Very disappointed with this hotel. We had a tiny room that was on the 1st floor. With a swamp cooler as the air conditioner. As you know with those style air-conditioners you have to keep the window open. Which then kept the blinds open so people outside could see in to our room. There was a wooden stick in the window to keep it closed for safety. We felt very unsafe. The machine was so loud we couldn't hear the TV or sleep. It also didn't cool the room at all. The lights from cars and the other buildings were shining into our room all night. The door did not close completely so the lights and noise from the hall way kept us awake as well. We slept so terribly we left at 4am. Definitely do not recommend staying here.

Convenient location, very walkable around the hotel. 1. Windows were overlooking the street that's full of bars and it was EXTREMELY noisy at night. 2. Shared bathrooms were not very clean (we stayed in a room with shared facilities). 3. We stayed 3 nights and on the first day our room was tidied up in a usual way (fresh towels, etc) but on the 2nd day it was not. 4. Bed was very soft and plush, to the point where your spine bends and it feels like sleeping in a hammock - which my back did not like.

No elevator, just FYI. Very clean.
