This is my third stay and it just keeps getting better! I was in town to attend the Princess Buffet with my granddaughters which happened to be located in the hotel's restaurant. Whoever organized this event did an amazing job! The decorations, food and treats for the young princesses were wonderful and well thoughout. The best feature was the very talented young women dressed as Disney pricesses who sang and greeted each girl at their table to chat. That being said, my room was fresh and clean as usual and my granddaughter enjoyed looking at the boats from the balcony. Check in was easy and all the staff I met was very friendly and helpful. The Smithfield Station is very accomodating and perfectly located near all the wonderful attractions of the town of Smithfield - you wil not be disappointed!

Excellent setting and surroundings. We were there during the recent Nor'easter, and the staff managed various flooding events with ease. Great breakfast. The one issue was that the wifi was not very strong.

The hotel staff were wonderful. And the hotel was wonderful - scores of 9 or 10 in every category. But now I must evaluate Booking.com. My wife has a disability, and it is often difficult to find a suitable room for her. I noticed moments after I booked the room on Booking.com that the room was not accessible by elevator, although the room was listed as accessible. But I could not change the reservation. I would have to emphasize that the hotel staff were wonderful and assisted the best they could after Booking.com proved completely useless, but the hotel staff were not able to view the reservation. After booking the room (which I should have done through the hotel website or via phone), I tried to cancel my reservation. But there was only one option - cancel with no refund. But Booking.com never responded to any of my calls through their customer service number. All I got was a recorded message offering to sell some medical device which I did not want. I could never get a real voice. And Booking.com nearly ruined the whole trip. I had to wait until the morning of leaving before I knew that there was an available room. I will never use Booking.com again. Booking.com is not even giving me a chance to evaluate themselves. (I did have trip insurance, but that proved unhelpful - there was no option to cancel the reservation due to inaccessibility.) Just one minor comment on the bathroom. The accessible room I got was good, but a little short of excellent. I would expect an accessible bathroom shower to have a horizontal grab bar. But we got by with a bathmat (provided by the hotel) and the vertical grab bar. (The shower floor was slippery when wet.) There was a more accessible restroom in the second-floor common area that my wife often used. There the toilet was higher than the one in the hotel room and there was also a horizontal grab bar next to the toilet.

Everything about our stay was great. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. We checked in after dinner so we didn't eat there but we did go to the restaurant and had some drinks and our bartender was friendly and the service was good. Our room was fantastic and the view of the river was nice. There was a balcony outside of our room and it was pleasant to sit out there and enjoy the view. 10/10 recommend. I would definitely go back again.

    Beautiful view from every room

We stayed Saturday to Sunday in a balcony room directly over the restaurant (room 208) which had excellent views of the Pagan River. The room was exceptionally clean and had a comfortable bed. The Smithfield Restaurant was convenient and the servers were super attentive. Food and drinks were fantastic. We will definitely be back!!!

Pretty location on the water. Old facility. The rooms have high humidity. They have a dehumidifier in the room, but once it fills it cuts off. It is very uncomfortable sleeping in high humidity. Our clothes came home smelling musty as well as our travel bags. Had to wash everything and wipe down our bag in Lysol.

I celebrated my 60th birthday with about 50 more individuals which included family, friends, and colleagues. We enjoyed our dinner in the Smithfield Station Restaurant. The service and food was outstanding. I am looking forward to coming back. Customer service was outstanding!!!

We loved the Smithfield area and the Smithfield Station overall was very unique. The staff were very friendly and the Restaurant food was excellent. The hotel is a quaint historic building and the room had nice updates. Wonderful walk in shower, and very comfortable bed. The room we were assigned to was very small and had damp smell when we entered. From the photos online we were expecting a much nicer room. For the price we paid for 2 nights, it just was not what we expected.

All we can say is what a beautiful place to stay! Unique -most certainly! Bed was comfy…view from our veranda was spectacular! Just an all around beautiful stay even though the storm blew out the power for a little while. Thank you so very much for a reasonably priced hotel with such a touch of class & pride in ownership with down to earth service 🇨🇦
