Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Staunton

Great location right off the highway yet rooms were quiet.

The breakfast was very good, but I would have preferred scrambled eggs.

Room was pretty roomy because it was a handicapped room. There was a used washcloth on the floor. Bed was okay. Not totally up to Marriott standards. Our co-travelers had issues with empty beer cans,in their room ,non working tv. All in all it was okay not sure it was worth the higher price.

The location was great! Easy access off I81. A great selection of restaurants nearby. Location also had a nice fire pit outside the breakfast area which was very cozy. The staff at the front desk was friendly and attentive. A nice spot and I would gladly book again. All good.

We had an issue, but it was resolved above and beyond what we could’ve expected, which made our experience fantastic

The Staff Members were all highly professional, courteous, and friendly - especially the woman attending the eating area.

Everything about the hotel met our needs. The highlight is the staff. They are very friendly and helpful.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with good variety. The location is also outstanding with easy access to I-81 and close to Downtown Staunton. Except for a single employee who will remain anonymous the rest of the staff are helpful and courteous. I originally booked for 2 nights but when I checked in the Front Desk told me they only had a reservation for a 1 night stay. I showed my copy of my Booking.com Confirmation for 2 nights so she did some more looking. She fould the 2nd night but she said I would have to checkout in the morning and check back in again in the afternoon. I told her that was unacceptable and rather than help me she became rude. She told me that if I booked through a 3rd party like Booking.com consecutive stays in the same room could not be guranteed unless I booked directly through Marriott. Rather than argue with her I requested she cancel my reservation for the 2nd night. The Front Desk told me that I would have to contact Booking.com. I was grateful Booking.com customer service stepped in and modified my reservation to a single so I was able to get another room at the Hilton next door. I talked to the Fairfield Front desk when I checked out and requested the Hotel Manager call me to explain what happened. He never called so I can only recommend this hotel for a single night stay. Booking multiple nights are done at your own risk. Completely ruined my perception of Marriot. Personally I will not stay here again.

Superb

This is our second time staying at the is particular location. We have been very satisfied with both stays. Friendly staff, clean rooms, helpful amenities. We did not eat breakfast because we had to leave so early, but the breakfast area was clean and very comfortable looking.

Very nice stay . 5 star stay

The location was good. The breakfast had a good variety but the layout was not smooth. The pool area was very nice. The floor in our room was dirty. There was not a bathtub and the shower wall was clear glass so when someone was taking a shower no one else could use the bathroom. It was on my reservation that I had 3 children. The breakfast area was crowded and the layout was choppy.
