This is a lovely hotel in many ways. Staff were great, very helpful. However, somehow it feels cold rather than warm and welcoming. A good designer might come up with ways to warm things up. My main problem was the disturbing lights at night when I was trying to sleep. The smoke alarm in the ceiling emits a flashing light that is unnoticeable in natural or artificial light but glaring in the darkness. I’m accustomed to covering up the various disturbing lights in hotel rooms, with clothing or towels or whatever I can find, but there’s nothing one can do about a pulsing light located in the ceiling. Humans need total darkness for good sleep, and the ever present electronic lights in hotel rooms can make good sleep impossible, regardless of blackout curtains and comfortable beds.

We were room 503! The king room in the historic area was very small with 4 small pillows for a king bed. our view was a roof. Over all it was just ok to sleep there.

Great location. Very nice staff.

Dated property in need of some new money for guest convenience. The last century magnetic door keys are putting corridor miles of one’s feet

Excellent location and the staff were very nice (with the exception of one waitress in the dining room). The room was not particularly clean; the sheets and towels were of very poor quality. The sheets felt like sandpaper. The mattress was hard and lumpy. Overall, the place is pretty shabby. It definitely needs a refresh. There is an aura of faded elegance, and you can imagine what the place was in its prime. All and all a bit sad.

Beautiful hotel. Front desk poor at communicate

Great location, I was given a nice corner room and enjoyed the view, free or cheap parking in the attached garage Property design was nice but dated and in need of some repair. Had stained and ripped wallpaper in my room. No water dispenser unless you were a conference guest.

Hotel was a stunning building. We arrived at 8pm, the hotel was not serving food but provided a list of restaurants which was appreciated. We did not have breakfast in the hotel as we only had a few hours in Staunton and used a morning stroll through the town to have breakfast. Carpark was below the hotel with easy access to lift for luggage.

Very good

The Parking was a little inconvenient, but manageable.

Hotel 24 is an amazing gem in part of the country we are unfamiliar with. It was a wonderful surprise after a long day of driving. Nice room, comfortable bed and within walking distance of restaurants and quaint shops. If ever we’re back this way again we would stay again.

Breakfast was not that good. Food was luke warm and not good value for the price paid altho staff were very attentive. Service and food at lobby bar was outstanding. Really enjoyed the historical ambiance of the property. Ideally located to easily walk to historic downtown.

We did not receive housekeeping services while we were there. I was told to check in that we would receive housekeeping services because we were staying longer than one night. We stayed for two nights - after coming in on Saturday night after a long day being gone - our room was in the same condition as it had been when we left - no fresh linens dropped off, beds had not been made, no services whatsoever. Additionally, whoever had stayed in the room previously had left the alarm set for a very early hour, which had not been checked by the hotel and woke us up VERY early on our first morning.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Room was clean and spacious, restaurant was convenient and very good. Great location and friendly staff.

Location No coffee in mornings. Had to go find a cafe nearby. Lovely town though.
-
Safe, secure, clean, friendly staff Guests should be given specific direction to the parking garage (address) during festivals with street closures, as physical address via gos was blocked.
-
very open and beautiful lobby. Room and bath clean and comfortable

Friendly staff. Noise from adjacent can be heard.
