Holiday Inn Va Beach-Oceanside (21st St) by IHG

The bed and pillows were super uncomfortable. The bed was so saggy and pretty brutal.

The room was very nice although the carpet felt dirty and need of cleaning. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant was clean and the food good, but I wish they would have had the option to order off the menu as only offering a buffet for lunch.

Staff were great! Bartender was amazing! Food was ok. Room was clean and we enjoyed having the balcony overlooking the waves.

Beautiful view in the morning we saw an entire pod of dolphins swim by lots of bars and restaurants nearby walking distance and a dairy queen fir the kids. Really nice too many homeless people nearby is the only drawback but they seem harmless enough

All staff from check in, front desk throughout the stay, valet service, dining service, housekeeping were all very courteous and helpful! The location is excellent, perfect view and accessibility of the ocean and boardwalk! Balcony a plus!!! We saw more dolphins than we could count every day of our stay! Plenty of healthy and varietal options at breakfast. Fresh baked goods top notch! Fish and chips from Hemingway's were tasty and plentiful!

A short two night stop here and it was in an ideal location. Excellent views from the balcony across the beach and sea. We watched dolphins swimming just off shore and navy ships pass with jet aircraft flying overhead. All very much to our liking especially as the weather wasn’t great to walk along the promenade. Car parking is a bit expensive but it worked out ok.

We stay here almost every time we come to Virginia Beach. They renovated the hotel a few years back and it looked great. This time we noticed the bathroom wasn’t as clean as usual. We also had to run over to Walgreens to buy some Febreze because the room had a musty odor when we arrived. Hopefully they will fix this issue. Also, we had a king size bed but it looked like they put queen size sheets and top on it. They didn’t cover the bed too well. Despite all of this, we enjoyed our stay and will be back in April!

While I was very comfy — especially their beds and pillows— I don’t think it’s fair that these places charge extra for parking. I feel This should be covered in your stay. It confirms to me that no matter where you turn, most businesses will do whatever it takes to take more from the consumer. It’s tacky. That’s my opinion and you asked. That said, I realize you’re not the only place but why not stand out and be different? Other than that, slept like a baby! Love the color scheme too!

Excellent view, nice rooms, good location on the boardwalk.

Facility was clean and staff were very pleasant and courteous. The biggest drawback is paying $25.00/day for parking!!!

Very load hvac, phone didn’t allow to listen to messages. Hot water took forever to reach room. Staff made use move cars twice from parking lot they didn’t get around to fixing. Toilet keep real filling! Overall dated hotel!

My family stayed in VA beach for the weekend. Place was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great ocean view.

The additional parking fee per day was a surprise ($25/day) when I got my final bill. Also, it takes the shower 40+ minutes to heat up. For real.

The property was in a great location. The fact that it is on the beach is hard at times to maintain a very clean main floor. Lots of people think it is okay to come out of the pool all wet and walk on the main floor with no regards to others. The biggest problem I had was it appeared to be mold on the ceiling. I took several pictures and show the front desk when I checked out. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant attached to the holiday is very nice.

The staff and restaurant were great! The rooms could use a deep cleaning but overall it's a nice property and perfect location.

Location, Staff, Restaurant, Room. Bathroom sink had hair in it and didn’t look to be cleaned well. We were sent to room 1009 that was already occupied, quickly/efficiently remedied by staff.

Great place and view of ocean. Balcony to sit and watch. Little tight on parking.

Location perfect … clean and suitable The front desk clerks was very rude and disrespectful.. the manager was very kind, professional and accommodating but the front desk staff was the absolute worst I think I’ve ever experienced at a hotel .. and that says a lot as I travel often .. the clerk should have been fired or written up on a final .. she was rolling her eyes, verbally rude, sighing and the list goes on . Thankful for management that was stellar and she was able to correct the situation and acted quickly as the manager

Room and all areas in the hotel and outside were well maintained. Would definitely nook again
