Hyatt Place Chicago/Downtown - The Loop

Good

I stayed here for a business trip and a speaking event, and the staff truly made the difference. A special thank-you to Lucia at the front desk: I came down after breakfast hours had already ended, and she still kindly made sure I got breakfast. Small gestures like that are rare and mean a lot. The room (King with sofa bed and view) was clean and comfortable, and the location in the Loop is perfect — a short walk to the river, the Riverwalk and Wacker Drive offices. I highly recommend this hotel, especially because of its fantastic team. Nothing really — everything was great.

Exceptional

This is my third time staying here since it's close to my workplace. A bit dated, but clean. I had to complain to get housekeeping to clean my room even though I had requested for daily housekeeping. During my second visit, even after complaining, no one came. I didn't get to experience any of the amenities since I was out most of the time, but if you're there for work and just need a place to stay, this place checks all the boxes.

My friends like the breakfast options. Said the French toast.was really good Disappointed there was no oatmeal. No one drinks coffee so we needed water bottles. There were none in the room. Nothing. Room was good. Had to go up and down to desk for extra towels and bedding for the sofa bed. But, everyone was comfortable. That's the most important part

Perfect location, great staff

We had a difficult time...

The staff could’ve been more friendly. My party experienced issue with noise from other guest and the property did not rectify the situation while we were there. I asked for our room to be moved and it was stated that it was too late in the day (6 PM) to get out room switched. So we just endured the noise for the rest of our trip.

There is only one thing about this stay I liked. It’s centrally located from all the famous places. Things I don’t like about. We did check in around 12 midnight, the receptionist was not welcoming. Room will not have enough amenities like shower cap, ear buds. The worst part about the stay, the room was super noisy. Everytime the other open or close the door, it felt like someone is trying to open my room ughhhh and worst bedding. Cooling will not go Below 65F

Great stay. Room was amazing! Water pressure on point. Very clean. Great location. We'll definitely be back!
