Great location awesome hotel
-
Hotel was conveniently located, near two train stations. All staff we encountered were friendly and courteous.

I got a terrible experience right after checking in but the staff did their best to fix it. On my bed, next to the pillow, there were blood. I notified to the front desk and they cleaned/changed my sheets right away.

Wonderful experience from start to finish! The staff was amazing - everyone from the valet and front desk to the rooftop restaurant employees was incredibly friendly and welcoming, as was the breakfast server in the restaurant in the lobby. The hotel was very clean, and we felt safe and secure throughout our stay. Would absolutely stay here again!

Lovely hotel with a great location. Kind staff. Only slight disappointment is that the fan in our bathroom did not work so it got a bit foggy. But outside of that very small thing this place was perfect.
-
Very clean, well maintained, & the staff were extremely helpful.
-
Room was dated and showed signs of hard wear; front desk staff unfriendly; door men never once open the door for us from the street; area around hotel dirty. Shay, the concierge was super nice though and the lobby was attractively decorated.

Superb

The hotel rooms are sooooo dark! Theres zero sunlight and the lights in the room is very inadequate. We also never received daily housekeeping even after requesting so we ran out of coffee, towels, etc Overall disappointing.
-
The rooms and the hotel are solid. Bed was comfortable. I think because it was dark in the room (dark carpet, dark decor) it wasn’t my favorite. Bathroom seemed fine. Everything feels just a little dated and it’s odd the way you come into what feels like an office building - taking an elevator up and check in at the concierge desk. But staff was helpful when asked. It was overall good but nothing about the experience was exceptional.

I stayed in a room at the back, every morning at 5:30 am trucks and dumpsters were moved, noise so loud it woke me up. Was charged an amenity fee and there were really mo amenities. Breakfast sucked both days in first floor restaurant. Won't stay again.

Stayed one night on a quick trip for a show. We are regular travelers to Chicago. The hotel is in a wonderful historic building, really interesting 2nd floor lobby and sitting area. The lounge was closed on Sunday's so we missed it but it looked very nice. The hotel lobby offered a 5-6pm happy hour with wine and beer. The room was very nice and good size for Chicago. Not brand new, but still in good condition and clean. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet. Kimpton hotels are usually great and this one was up to standard.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful!!

Front desk agents gave me a bit of attitude upon arrival and I caught one woman give me a full up and down look. The person who was to take my bags upstairs with me only took the bag I had in my hand and not my luggage. He also did not hold the door open for me. That’s two ticks on the overall first impression. I then went back down to the front desk to ask for an additional key envelope so I could give it to the other desk. The same one who gave me the stare up and down slid one on the counter. Rude. I had to ask her for a pen, which she took her sweet time getting out of her pocket when there were several right in front of her that I could see behind the desk from where I was standing. The elevators take forever and the agent downstairs kept/threw away my Uber Eats order. I ordered late in the night and fell asleep (which is totally my fault, order was delayed), but when I called the next morning they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. I was only calling to ask why they didn’t phone the room because I had no messages waiting when I awoke. They proceeded to tell me that never happened. Meanwhile, I had a photo provided on the Uber app for drop off in the lobby, at the front desk… Great location, clean and beautiful. The people could improve. I expect stellar service at a Kimpton. This was short of that.

The room was very clean and spacious. Staff was very informative about what was accessible during our stay. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to visit Chicago.
