REEEKED of cigarettes - both rooms

We arrived at the Terrace Inn and Suites at 2:20am after a long ten-hour drive. It was so nice to be greeted by a friendly person in the office! He seemed to genuinely care about us, and I really appreciated that. Ours was the last room to be filled for the evening - it was full to capacity. There was one parking space left in the entire lot!! We had a terrific night’s sleep, and we were impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. Granted, it’s an older building, but we were provided with the necessary amenities. It was quiet, and there were room-darkening drapes in the room. We’re on a 3.5 week cross-country trip, and the Terrace Inn and Suites was one of very few rooms that had a refrigerator which included a freezer. The fridge and microwave were exceptionally clean. The only odd thing we found was that we couldn’t turn on our air conditioner. There was a note to “set it by the thermometer on the wall,” which we couldn’t locate. So we set it and went to sleep even though it didn’t turn on. However, when we awakened at 9:00 AM, we noticed that it had come on during the night. So all was good:) Thank you for a very nice, comfortable stay, and at a price that definitely fit our budget as we travel the entire country!

Clean and comfortable room

No frills hotel but exactly what I needed. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Very generous with their time and always available. Location is great.

The staff was lovely, very kind and helpful! The room was in a bit of disrepair with a grimy bathtub being the biggest offender and a faint smell of cigarette smell for a room that supposedly is a non smoking room. Not too much else to complain about, though. Might just be in need of a few small renovations but a cozy little room nonetheless.

The staff were rude and not helpful. Check- in time was 3:00 and they made a big point of us not being able to check in early. Then when we finally finished check-in at 3:30 they were still cleaning our room. Normally that would not bother me if they were at all nice about it.

The staff are very polite and pleasant. The refrigerator and microwave were in good condition and very helpful, as was the heating/air conditioning unit in the room. The water was hot for showering, and it was reasonably quiet. I would have given 5 stars for everything except some of the fixtures (sink and tub) are quite worn. The location is near Safeway and Harbor Freight. The 72 bus can be caught a very short distance from the hotel--this is a fast, frequent bus that is extremely convenient for quick trips to other East Bay cities. I stayed 4 nights and would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a budget, not-too-fancy place.

First choice in the budget category with quality worthy of the next tier. The internet is not great. I use cell service but haven't found it to be acceptable the few times I've tried it

Properties is old but well maintained and clean. Anyone want clean motel ( not necessary on high end and deluxe motel) but cheap price. This motel is the one you can try.
