Hotel Avante - JDV by Hyatt

Hotel was quiet, clean and all staff we encountered were super friendly and helpful. Pool and hot tub were nice, although the pool didn’t seem heated (I thought I saw that it was but I could be mistaken). It was still nice after being in the hot tub. The only thing I didn’t necessarily like…the bed is rock hard. Like there is zero give to the mattress. At all. Which, after walking around San Jose all day, I didn’t feel like my body relaxed at all because the bed is so rigid. My partner didn’t mind it. He thought it was just fine. It helped that their pillows were decent. Overall, nice hotel, good price, decent location.

I expected more from the pictures. The hotel is dated and the only amenity is the pool and hot tub. There is a small gym but it smelled so bad I couldn't use it. They sell $5 cookies at the front desk, which seems excessive. There is complimentary coffee.

Front desk staff was actually incredible & made the stay really wonderful. RJ was the standout front desk man—protect him at all costs!! He went out of his way to help us despite being the only person at the front one night and honestly, his enthusiasm and professionalism was such a breath of fresh air. The hotel itself is fine—but the customer service made it a place we would actually book again.

Beautiful hotel with free parking. The room was modern, clean, and well maintained. Our room was on the ground floor next to the pool, so we experienced some noise from guests using the jacuzzi and lounge area later in the evening. The rooms were also quite poorly soundproofed, and we could clearly hear the guests staying in the room above us.

Enjoyed our short stay, great price for this updated contemporary hotel!

I thought a "boutique" hotel would be smaller, cozier and with a little more character. My room was on the ground floor, at the end of a corridor populated by kitchen, cleaning and office staff - and they all seemed to start work at 6am on Sunday morning, so there was no sleep to be had after that time. The room was small, the TV didn't work, the fridge was right by the bed and sounded like it was groaning. If I was staying for more than one night, I would strongly consider cancelling and finding somewhere else.

The first thing I want to say about Hotel Avante was how pleasant the staff were to deal with… Five stars! Very nice and accommodating people that really made my stay even better. Room was clean and the whole hotel was nicely, decorated and appointed. I highly recommend it!

Great experience!!! Will definitely be back! Front desk lady who checked us in was awesome. She even gave us ideas to go hiking without even knowing we were looking for places to hike.

I did not have breakfast at this facility. Loved the location. The staff was very helpful and attentive!

Front desk had no knowledge of free area shuttle when asked where stops were. Told me to call company. Toilet issues so they brought us a plunger that they never picked up. Definitely an older property. Thermostat in room never kept regular temperature

Joke for $350 ! Smelly rooms, no ac on when we got there outside 90F , Rude front desk. Absolutely horrible Not recommend Don’t come here Outside is beautiful pictures are amazing Inside horrible , disaster Not deserve a penny!

Everything was great! The room-bed comfy, clean. Staff- friendly and helpful. Amenities- hot tub and pool awesome! Close to shopping- can walk to Safeway and restaurants. This was our second time staying here and will do so in the future!

The room set up is nice as well as the bathtoom.

Clean room and very kind staff, from the cleaning ladies to the front desk. I really liked the complimentary coffee and tea table with the fruit infused water, so cute and yummy!
