Clean room, staff

This is a beautifully decorated, brand new hotel. Staff was very friendly and awesome. The room was beautiful. The happy hour was fantastic...great apps and great prices food & drink. Now, the downside: The hotel has no amenities, not even a gym/fitness centre which is disappointing. Their site mentions "partnerships" with wellness facilities but none of that involves sharing a fitness centre apparently. I was there 3 nights and barely had a good night's sleep. Windows do not open so no fresh air. Perhaps that's a good thing because even through the closed windows, piped music from the hotel outdoor lobby drive-thru across the street continued through the night and kept me from getting a good night's sleep. Never mind on my last night there where I desperately wanted a good night's sleep and took Nyquil to help me stay asleep despite the noise, the smoke detector started chirping at 2:30 a.m. and awoke me out of deep sleep. The front desk couldn't send anyone to stop it at that hour, and so I had to drag a nightstand over and hope to reach it on the 10 foot ceiling and pull it down and silence it. Not a pleasant night. They tried to make it right on checkout by waiving the local taxes, but I think a whole night's rate should have been refunded given the significance of that problem. The shower was beautiful but the temperature control doesn't work properly to lower or raise the temperature in increments so it was either scalding hot/lukewarm or cold.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at the Monarch! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality made our stay in New Orleans even more memorable. A special thank you to Lewis and Andre, who were incredibly helpful with choosing our excursions and giving us advice on navigating the city. Their recommendations helped us make the most of our time in New Orleans. And Latrisha—what a joy! Her beautiful smile truly lit up the room every time we saw her. She was so warm and welcoming and made us feel right at home. We loved our time in New Orleans so much that this is definitely a return trip for us—and when we come back, the Monarch will absolutely be our hotel of choice! Thank you to the entire team for helping make our trip such a wonderful experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The property is outstanding. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The ceilings are high. The bathrooms are super nice and recently remodeled. Great property in a great location.

Friendly staff, clean room. Quiet and comfortable. Convenient location.

Chambre du côté de la rue on entend du bruit et un écho de musique incessant 24h/24. Le plancher de ma chambre était en pente et il était impossible de s’installer au bureau pour travailler convenablement. À noter également qu’il n’y a pas de gym à cet établissement.

Very nice boutique hotel. It doesn’t have all the amenities as other hotels but it was a nice stay. The resturant in the lobby was a nice addition. We would stay again.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at The Monarch. The hotel is beautiful, well maintained, and conveniently located downtown within walking distance of Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. Our room was as described, and housekeeping refreshed it daily with clean towels. My only cleanliness concern was the floor, as the bottoms of our socks became noticeably dark, so I do wish it had been thoroughly mopped. There were a few inconsistencies with the advertised amenities. We paid a $23/night resort fee, but aside from Wi-Fi, I’m still unsure what the fee covered. There is also no traditional room service; food can be ordered from the downstairs bar but must be picked up. The website advertised valet parking, but valet was unavailable during our stay, which changed our plans to rent a car. Most of the staff were welcoming and helpful. One gentleman at the bar was especially kind and assisted with our luggage. Unfortunately, Rochelle was noticeably less welcoming and helpful than the other staff we encountered. On our final night, the elevator stopped working with no signage or notice from the front desk. This was especially difficult because I had injured my ankle and we were on the third floor. The next morning, another staff member apologized and made sure we received help bringing our luggage downstairs, which we greatly appreciated. The Monarch has a lot of potential, but I think communication, consistency, and clarity around advertised amenities and fees need improvement.

I loved staying at this hotel. The rooms are comfortable and very well decorated. The location is amazing. It was a short walk to both bourbon street and the superdome. I would definitely stay here again.

The location is perfect for anything you can think of. The hotel staff is amazing. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Loved being able to walkout to the trolley. Just a short walk to the French Quarters, Willie Mae’s and other local attractions.

This is such a beautiful hotel. It has been open for about four months I was told. The rooms were huge. Everything down to the decor was beautiful. The only thing that would keep me from staying at this hotel again is that the walls are very thin, which means the insulation is lacking. Other than that great hotel rate 8 out of 10.

The art in this hotel is amazing just like the staff. Everyone we met was so friendly and helpful. It felt like we were visiting friends. The room was very clean and the appearance of the hotel is beautiful. We were in walking distance to over 90% of the places we wanted to visit. And if we didn't walk we took an Uber and the prices were reasonable .

Stayed for two days and the hotel staff and rooms were excellent! Great hotel and I will be staying here my next trip to New Orleans

Hotel was nice! Very quiet and clean. Location was close to a lot of places to visit. The only thing was parking that was annoying but thankfully we found parking in front to get things out. Staff helped us get the luggage’s which was great!

Excellent!

This is a great place. Equidistant from French Quarter and Garden District, but so quiet and peaceful and easy… makes me feel (almost) bad for the poor schlubs who stay in some filthy big-name hotel a few streets away.

Great spot!
