Grant Hotel

There’s no fridge in the room, but there’s a water cooler in the lobby area and free pastries every morning which was nice. There’s a shared microwave in the lobby area too. The property and rooms are old, but there’s a certain charm to it. Not dirty though, which is what we mainly care about. The staff is extremely helpful even after check out and that really made our stay amazing!

Perfect hotel located in the heart of the city and almost next door to cable car stop. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Electric kettle was in the room and a microvawe oven was in the common fall on the ground floor (a computer with access to internet was there, too). The price was reasonable if you compare it to the hotel prices in the neighbourhood. And they have a traditional bathtub in the bathroom! Thumbs up!

Attended a show nearby and everything about our stay was great. The parking situation was SO convenient which is hard to come by in the city! Would absolutely stay again!

The room was cozy and clean, and the bathroom was very spacious with fluffy towels. Would definitely stay here again :)

I loved the vintage charm of this hotel and my spacious thigh-ceiling room. No screen on the window, but I liked the window could open for fresh air. Nice to have free coffee and pastry in the morning. Good location near the top of Powell street The elevator was broken for most of one day. Fixed before I checked out.

Free pastries and coffee for breakfast. Descent room and central location. Helpful staff, we were able to store our luggage after checkout

Pictures of the rooms weren’t accurate. The building is very old. The windows don’t have screens and there’s no AC so you have to sleep with the window wide open so some bugs flew in. Our room smelled like smoke when we arrived. There was a room on our floor with a Medical Examiner sticker on it so that was creepy. The breakfast was good, the staff were great, the location was good. It was good for the price but could use some updates

Great location near Union Square, in a quiet area. Good value for money. Simple breakfast included, which is a rare bonus. Coffee, tea, water, and hot water available all day. Microwave available for guests. Friendly and helpful staff. New towels. The room and bed were a bit old, although everything was acceptable. No mini-fridge in the room, which would have been a nice addition.

Staffs are not friendly, rooms are decent for the location. Door keys won’t work frequently and the front desk need to reset. Overall ok for the stay but staff need to be more friendly

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly! The room was fine, but upgrades are definitely needed, as it seems previous guests have not been kind and some damage has been done. However, it was a great stay for what we needed. Very grateful.

Pros: it is in downtown area, very walkable to bus stops and restaurants Cons: The room stinks and the bathroom vent smells like cigarette whenever we turn it on. The bed is hard and there is no microwave or ref.
