Homewood Suites by Hilton Yorktown Newport News

I was there for 11 days. I didn’t have a fully hot shower once. Pictures were very deceiving. Thought it looked like a new hotel but it was old and smelled like microwave popcorn. The only advantage I would say is that it’s off the road a bit so it was quiet. But for some reason, I could not take a hot shower no matter how many times I complained they could not fix the matter. It was pretty unbelievable.

Breakfast : ) coffee ehhh taste, eggs same, potatoes need frying so crispy. Did appreciate having, however.

Everything was great. No complaints whatsoever. Worked perfectly for our needs.

I'm not sure if it was an upgrade but the room was simply amazing. Definitely will be coming back. There was a gross smell in part of the hallway. And the second elevator was broken so the walk to the room was a long one.

A perfect home away from home.

The property was fine. We’ve stayed before. But this time we were placed in a ground floor room, next to the breakfast kitchen. It was also a connecting room. The hotel was less than half full but they put guests into what is objectively the worst room in the entire property. We were awoken by loud banging coming from the kitchen when it was still dark. Truly disappointing. We really liked it last time, stay in Yorktown once or twice a month for the weekend, but will likely not go back because of the terrible room assignment in a wide open property.

Love the space in the room and the front desk staff. I hated thar they won't allow your orders to be delivered to the room door and also elevator was broke.

Room layout, cold fridge, bed, overall clean, all staff 2 stains on carpet, ice only on 1st floor

The staff was very nice and the accommodations exceeded my expectations. I'm looking forward to my upcoming stay and the experience of the accommodations. Regarding the accommodations there's nothing I didn't like, I just wish I could have stayed longer.

Very spacious room. Great amenities in the room and on the property . Close to CNU. We will definitely be back.

Amazing stay! The ladies at the front desk were phenomenal! Breakfast was delicious. They had overnight oatmeal which was a huge bonus!. Location was perfect. We will definitely stay here the next time we're in town!

The lady at check in was so nice and really helpful. The breakfast was good, but items such as eggs were often cold, I would just reheat in the microwave. It was nice to have a mini kitchen which even had two stove top burners and they even supplied plates, silverware etc... The plumbing in the bathroom needs some attention. The toilet barely flushed and the bathroom sink didn't drain well so it was a little bit of a nuisance when brushing your teeth, etc...
