We had a suite. Wasn’t expecting that.

We did not have a pleasant experience with this hotel. We stayed 4 nights and had to move rooms 3 times (should have moved again for the last one). The first room started leaking water from the light fixture above the bed. We had to move rooms (turns out they had an A/C issue that required a repair person). The next room was half the size and next to the noisy intersection. We moved again to a much quieter room. We should have moved again because the cold water did not work. You could get cold ish water for a couple of minutes then it went as hot as any hot water. The hotel did not offer any refunds or “break” in the price for all the problems. I would not really recommend this place. The upkeep could use some serious considerations and work.

Great place to stay! In the middle of all the action. Walk across the street to the beach. Restaurants all the way down the block and lots of shopping. We stayed in the 2 bedroom unit. It was awesome. Loved it. The parking situation was not the greatest, but we will stay again for sure!

We had a very nice stay. It was a close walk to the beach and restaurants and things to do. Parking wasn’t very convenient as there is no parking on site at the hotel. The hotel can charge you 40 a day to park in a garage that is down the road. My husband and I opted to try the street parking but that parking is only 2 or 4 hours between hours of 8-6. Our room was nice but bathroom could use some deep cleaning and upgrades. Air worked really well. Overall our stay was a good one. I would recommend this hotel for the convenience to everything and price.

Perfect location, clean place. Miguel’s restaurant right below. Great Place!

The place was really old and run down. Totally needs a overhaul. They forgot to notify us when are room was ready. Had to climb 10 steep stairs with suit cases. Room was big and had everything you needed but the bathroom was rediculously small. No hot water in the morning ever. No light in closet. Tried to use their grilling area and they were suppose to meet us and give us supplies never did. It was our 18th wedding anniversary that we celebrated and they did nothing to help this trip be special

Room needs to be updated

Broken light sockets, wires hanging out of fixture. Tub / shower had water draining in-between tub liner and tub pan causing hazard. IE water stuck or accumulated under tub basin and floor. Floors carrier and tile were decades old and filthy in two rooms we tried.

Location is great and I like that there is a Mexican restaurant and shops adjoining. Suite was good sized for the price and plenty of storage. Bathroom was too small. No room to do much but at least there was a vanity of sorts outside the bathroom. The ceiling had what looked like exposed wiring with open junction boxes and the bedrooms smoke detector had no battery. If these things are not active and not required by law due to the sprinkler system why aren't they removed and the boxes and wiring removed. A little scary.

Excellent location, with everything you need within walking distance. The beach is a 5-minute walk. The restaurant that is in the hotel was very good. Great little courtyard with a fountain and large fireplace was our nightly hangout after dinner.

Beautiful property in a great location.

Just a great place stay. Great staff, location, etc etc. Nothing negative to say about it. Will stay there anytime we visit Coronado again!

Spanish design and Kitchens in the rooms. The showers water temperature isn’t consistent

My stay was okay overall, but there were a few things that could have been better. The carpet in the room did not appear to have been vacuumed, and the extra blanket in the closet was stiff and smelled dusty. The AC would release a funky smell when the temperature was above a certain threshold. The hotel was notified and a technician looked into it, but the issue continued. I had stayed here before and had a great experience, which is why I decided to stay here again. Unfortunately, this stay was not great. I do think the hotel has a lot of potential, and I hope these housekeeping and maintenance concerns can be addressed. On a positive note, I really appreciated the messages we received before arrival, during our stay, and on checkout day. That communication was a nice touch and I hope it continues.

I liked the hotel and the staff were very nice, the room was cozy. The only thing is my room was right above the restaurant and could hear absolutely everything while they were operating.

This was my second time staying at the El Cordova. Its location is amazing. The property is charming and well maintained. I booked a suite as I like to have a kitchen and cook some meals while travelling. The kitchen has the basics for cookware but as this was my second time I knew to bring my own salt pepper, spices and oil. I will definitely be staying here again and highly recommend this property.
